<>Kritton was first released on 17.6.2001 ! Its name back then was not 'Kritton', but 'Fast HTTP Daemon'. 'Fast HTTP Daemon' lived to be 0.2.6 . After that, version 0.3 was renamed to 'Kritton', which means 'better' in ancient Greek. Kritton did not enjoy the slight ( though increasing ) popularity it enjoys now. Kritton is a fairly reliable and fast web server. Kritton was originally written by Vassilis Pandis and is now being developed by Florent Morel, Abhishek, Jason Corcoran, James Wilkinson, Srini, Nigel Horne, Kwan Lim and tuomo.
